In collaboration with Robinhood, Burger King (BK) is now providing its Royal Perks loyalty members the chance to win a side of bitcoin. Burger King is providing crypto in a way that’s accessible and digestible (literally and figuratively) — through our cuisine, according to vice president of digital guest experience Maria Posada, who added that working with Robinhood was a natural fit.
BK’s Royal Perks members who spend at least $5 on the BK app, website, or at participating restaurants will receive cryptocurrency as a reward. Members who are eligible for Royal Perks must use the redemption code My Code and are only allowed one reward code per day. The offer will run until November 21st, or when all of the allotted 20 Bitcoin, 200 Ethereum, and 2 million Dogecoin have been distributed.
The Royal Perks loyalty programme can be joined through BK’s mobile app or website by those interested in participating in the campaign. Users will receive an email with instructions on how to claim the cryptocurrency through the Robinhood mobile application after making a $5 pre-tax purchase and entering My Code. Existing Robinhood customers can use their existing accounts, while new users will need to register a new account with the trading platform.

The campaign is Robinhood’s latest attempt to increase bitcoin trading on its platform. Robinhood announced $231 million in cryptocurrency revenue in its second quarter financial results, after it began providing cryptocurrencies earlier this year. Dogecoin, a popular meme cryptocurrency, accounted for 64% of this revenue.
However, in the face of increasing competition, the corporation has failed to maintain these figures. Robinhood announced a big reduction in crypto revenue to $51 million in its third quarter financial performance. As a result of the news, the company’s stock price dropped 10%. Robinhood may consider listing the now trendy Shiba Inu (SHIB) token, as legions of its users have requested, based on its earlier success with a Shiba Inu-inspired coin.
